Dear Mr. New-York-magazine7-months-for-Sl: The fact that people everywhere are reading and talking about your magazine isn’t quite enough recommendation. Everybody read and talked about “Tobacco Road” once, too, but I can’t say I enjoyed it. As for it being “an exciting discovery,” we are used to those. Or have you ever gone to a neighbor's house and found the youngsters playing “Annie-Over” with a butcherknife ? That, too, was “an exciting discovery,” but I’d not care Tor seven months of it for $1.
