May-Day Program To
Emphasize Health
The May-Day Health Day Program, to be presented at Rappahannock High School, is a combination of the traditional May Day festival with an emphasis on the importance of child health. The program gives recognition to those pupils who have had corrections of physical defects. This year, there is a great need for dental correction. Special attention has been devoted to this .phase of the health program.
The fact that nearly half the pupils in the school have been to the dentist during the school year fs an achievement of which the pupils, parents, teachers of Rappahannock High School are justly proud- .
H 'is hoped th# all interested, patrons will come to the program which will be held, weather permitting, on the athletic field across from th$ school at 2 o’clock, Tuesday, May 1.
EDNA YATES SCHAEFER GIVES BIRTHDAY PARTY
Edna Yates Schaefer celebrated her eighth birthday anniversary on Monday, March 23, in the school room from four to five o’clock with her class mates and Elizabeth Smith, Betty Taylor Bruce, Judy Hawkins, Maureen Curry, P. Lee Thornton, III, and Joe Henry Aylor, Jr., invited. After the games Mrs. Schaefer served ice cream and cake to the youngsters.
