McGehees Entertain
Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie McGehee 'entertained a few of their friends for bridge Saturday evening at their home in Flint Hill. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Cook, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. David Corbin, Mr. and Mrs William Gilbert Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell. Prizes were won by Mrs. Cook, first prize for the ladies and Mr. Gilbert, first for the men.

More than 900,000 people live in the 38 comunities of the United States which bear the place name of Washington, according to figures taken from preliminary 1950 census population reports issued by the Bureau of the Census, U. S. Department of Commerce. For 29 of these places, the Census Bureau has compiled 1950 population counts. Nine other places bearing the name of the country’s first president also are listed as post offices. However, population figures are not available for them because they are unincorporated
