Mrs. Thornhill left Monday for a four day visit with her daughter Mrs. Elma Manuel and daughters in Winchester.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Weaver were Mrs. Lizzie Bailey, Mrs. Nellie Scruce and Mrs. Hilda Williams- and son Dwight of Silver Spring, Md. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler and children of Arlington spent the week-end visiting Mrs. Btuler’s parents Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burkeanddaughter Faye. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Johnston had as their dinner guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Karnes and family of Culpeper. The Johnstons and Karnes were all supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Payne and family of Woodville.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powers and children Kathy, Mark and Patrick were guests at a Memorial Day picnic of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Golon of Culpeper.
Mrs. Alice Dorsey won 8th place in a contest at the People's Store in Culpeper and received an electric toothbrush kit.
