Miss Gwendolyn Hockman of New York is among the prominent women named in the recently published book, “Outstanding Young Women of America." Miss Hockman is the daughter of Mrs. Fravel Partlow Blades of Venice, Florida and spent several years of her childhood in Wash ington. She is a niece of Mrs. C. T. Bruce of Washington. Miss Hockman is presently director of the Women’s Department of Physical Education at C. W. Post College,' Long Island University at Greenville, New York. She served three years on the staff of Barnard College, Columbia University, New York. Miss Hockman received her B. S. degree from M adison College, Harrisonburg and her M. A. from Columbia University.
