An increase in salary for members of the Welfare Board was not approved since the budget had already been adopted without this provision. Current accounts were approved for payment before adjournment.
Republican Meeting
An important mass meeting of Rappahannock Republicans will be held Wednesday, June 14 at the Court House in Wash ington, Va. at 8 p. m. Delegates will be elected to the June 17 Republican Nominating Convention in Harrisonburg.
Bloodmobile Coming
Here on June 14
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Trinity Church Parish Hall, Washington, Va. Wed nesday, June 14 from 12 noon until 6 p. m. A meaningful way to observe Flag Day would be to come to the bloodmobile and offer to donate. The military both at home and overseas are using Red Cross blood. Military dependents, hospital and clinics are also being supplied. Blood is constantly being needed due to the accidents caused by modern living and illness of all types. An urgent plea is made to all who are able to give blood this Wednesday. Facts show that the Red Cross blood center implements maximum use of a perishable product and obtains as many of its components and by-products as possible.
