4-H’ers, 9-13 .. Deadlinefor registering for 4-H camp at Holiday Lake has been changed to June 15. If you a re interested in going but failed to get your money in by June 1 you still have time. Thus far 24 4-H’ers are going to camp with as - won’t you come along too?
Also, a reminder that the 4-H Tour is going to be held on i June 21 and that reservations for this must be in by June 12. This is a good opportunity to get to learn a little more about places of interest in our ; Nation’s capital while having a good time with friends and fellow 4-H members. . Those of you who have been in the market for shoes may have seen or heard the term “Ruvea” being applied to many shoes this summer. This material, made of nylon ribbon yarn is being used as a chief material in the making of shoe upper portions. The textures vary and the material has qualities from the fine linen look to that of homespun. Although straw-like in appearance, “Ruvea” has qualities quite different from this — it is scuff resistant, has excellent shape retention, is rot and mildew resistant and sheds water. Upkeep is quite simple and common stainsare easily removed from the material.
The Flint Hill Home Demonstration meeting, regularly scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday will meet instead on June 13 at the Flint Hill Fire Hall. Mrs. F. M. Bowey will present the program on The Making of California Jewelry. Anyone interested is welcomed to attend the meeting which begins at 7:30 p.m.
