A NEW Extension Ser* vice “resource person” in Fauquier County is Howard Handorf , who has been on the job in Warrenton only a relatively short time but who is already deeply immersed in the problems and opportunities of the county and the region.
Handorf’s official title places him in charge of “community resource development,” and he’s the first to point out the broadness — “somewhat nebulous” is another way of putting it — program that he heads.
“It means working with everybody from clubs to units of government,” he says , “on every type of activity from community beautification programs to recreation, tourism and business expansion.”
