Have you ever seen pear trees blooming and bearing fruit at the same time? This is unusual, to say the least, but is occurring on numerous trees in the area. Michael Marsh reported some on his farm near Sperryville and Mrs. Mary Priest called to tell of several in the Amissville area. The picture here does not adequately show the blooms and pears, but it is happening.
