by Carson Johnson of Sperryville, has not yet initiated campaign work in behalf of the McGovern-Shri ver ticket, so far as is known, but speakers at the Sunday meeting expressed the strong hope that it would soon do so.
Members of hew campaign committee also said they’d agree to merge efforts with the Democratic County Committee “in one strong united effort to help elect all Democratic candidates.”
“It is no secret that the membership of the County Democratic Committee is split over the current political picture,” sand Harris, “and it is not presently known whether it will conduct an active county campaign for the Democratic ticket.”
Johnson said he may call a meeting soon to determine the wishes of the committee. There are five committee members from each 'of the five Rappahannock Magisterial Districts.
