Congressman J. Kenneth Robinson, Congressman William L. Scott, the Fredericksburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Richmond Office of the U. S. Department of Commerce have jointly announced plans for a Business Development Conference to be held at the Sheraton Motor Inn in Fredericksburg on Thursday, September 28.
The purpose of the Conference is “to advise the local business community in the Seventh District of various government programs and services available to them and to afford these business leaders an opportunity to meet the gentlemert who head some of the important federal agencies in Virginia.”
Federal agencies participating in the program will include the Small Business Administration, Farmers Home Administration, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Also participating will be the Virginia Industrial Development Commission. The list of speakers for the program will be announced at a later date.
The Conference will commence at 9 a.m. and will include a $5 plate luncheon at which time Congressman J. Kenneth Robinson will give the main address. Following the lu
