Howard Handorf
of New York state, but grew up in Michigan and graduated from Michigan University in 1958. He obtained a masters degree in forestry from the state school in 1967, and worked for six years with the Virginia Division of Forestry in Prince Edward County.
Before assuming his present position, he spent five years with the Michigan Extension Service, in the Upper Peninsula section of the state.
He lives in Warrenton with his wife and th,'je young children. □
