tinuing education course in “Beginning Folk Guitar” this fall.
The course is designed to teach students facts about buying a guitar, basic music theory and chord structure, picking and strumming techniques, and various practice exercises and songs.
Beginning Folk Guitar is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 28, and will continue each Thursday evening for 10 weeks from 7-10 p.m. Persons wishing to take the course will be required to furnish their own guitar. The cost of the course will be $20 per student. A practice workbook will also be purchased.
Donald DePoy, who plays most types of country and folk instruments, will be the instructor.
