WITH Judge Snead’s ruling the opponents to the Vepco powerlines have lost another battle against the giant power company. In May, the SCC approved the power lines, and last month the Commission refused to reconsider its ruling at the request of the Culpeper League for Environmental Protection. The Fauquier Supervisors and the Rappahannock and Culpeper Leagues for Environmental Protection have all appealed the SCC ruling to the State Supreme Court. The Rappahannock League has also asked the court to stay construction of the powerlines until the court makes a ruling.
