A single vehicle crash occurred Wednesday morning on the Harris Hollow Road, Route 624 near Washington. A local woman, Mrs. Mary N. Wood who is the rural mail carrier, lost control of her car and over turned, according to investigating officer Trooper R.A. Baines.
Mrs. Wood was meeting another vehicle and swerved to avoid striking it when the car went out of control, sliding in the gravel before flipping over. She sustained a contusion of the head and bruised shoulder. Her vehicle was declared a total loss.n
