Young re-elected

Dr. William Young, medical director for the RappahannockRapidan Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services (Chapter 10) Board, has been reelected chairman of the Governor’s Professional Advisory Board for Mental Health and Mental Retardation. He was initially appointed by Governor Holton in 1971 and then reappointed in 1972 for a four-year term.

Professional Advisory Board is mandated by state legislation and is made up by a variety of professions, including nursing, psychiatry, psychology, education and law. It is designed to advise the Governor and the Virginia Mental Health and Mental Retardation Board on matters of mental health and mental retardation and to advise the Governor on current and upcoming legislative issues. □
