of the application would deprive us of any discretion in running our business. The proper course of action for the County to follow, in my opinion, since the County has the duty of protecting the health and welfare of the people, would be to attach such conditions as it deems necessary to the Special Use Request, and then if the conditions are not met, revoke the permit.
I have voiced no objection to having several of the matters brought out at the hearings included in the conditions, among them being (1) the tying of the Special Use Permit to the continued use of the skiing facilities; (2) having someone from the County sit on the Board of Directors of the Property Owners’ Association so that the County would be aware of the activities of the owners; (3) some sort of licensing fee to assure the County additional revenue for any burden on existing facilities; and (4) a limitation of 1,500 interests.
