THE ANNUAL FUND-RAISING carnival sponsored by the Flint Hill Fire Company opened last night and continues through Saturday night. The grand parade will take place tonight, Thursday, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Grand Marshal of the gala parade will be the newly crowned “Miss Virginia” and the lineup will include floats, bands, marching units, majorettes, a Shrine Unit, Legion units, fire and rescue equipment, and beauty queens. On display in the fire house each evening will be an exhibit by the Virginia Game Commission and the Virginia Highway Department State Fair Exhibit.
Each night there will be plenty of food, and fun for all including exciting rides, among them the thrilling scrambler. Games and concessions will also be abundant. A box supper will be available at
