FIRE, RESCUE
Flint Hill Rescue Squad answered two calls September 5, the first at A. Delgrosso’s where first aid was administered and the second, James Peyton was carried from the home of Frank Stringfellow to Warren Memorial.
September 7 the unit worked the Bealeton Air Show. September 8, Clarence Walters was carried from his home at Flint Hill to Warren Memorial and September 9, Miss Lucy Estes was transported from her home near Washington to Warren Memorial and home again.
Amissville Rescue Squad took Mrs. T. W. Latham to Culpeper Memorial Hospital on September 3 and the following day Steve Marshall was taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. Sunday this unit transported Evelyn Harrison to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Girl Scouts organize
An organization and registration meeting of all girls interested in Girl Scouting, and their parents will be held September 16 at Rappahannock Elementary School at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Registration fees for new Scouts will be $3 and fees for girls already in scouting will be $2.
An equipment representative will be present with handbooks for sale and will take orders for uniforms. Anyone with used uniforms to donate or well should contact Mrs. John Watson at 675-3576 or Mrs. Dick Helmer at 987-8184. □
