ENROLLMENT in Rappahannock County schools is down 37 from last year, Superintendent 0. A. Norton told the School Board Tuesday night. That may not seem like much, but for a small county with a total of 1184 students in the school system it’s a lot, Norton said. And it’s less than Rappahannock’s School Board members predicted when they drew up this year’s budget. The money which will come to the county from the state of Virginia is partially determined by “average daily attendance,” or enrollment.
