Art Warren said the bus tour of the Planning District last year cost $400. Two-thirds of this sum may come from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. If there are no HUD funds, there is money in the Planning District’s contingency fund to cover it, Warren said. The Planning Commissioners all thought the trip was a fine idea. But Stan Haworth told Warren he’d make the tour only to see the historic structures themselves. “I don’t want a tour of historical markers,” he said.
ART WARREN told the planners that the district Planning Commission needed to host a public hearing on the scenic rivers proposal for the Rappahannock and Rapidan Rivers. The public meetings which have been held were “information meetings,” Warren said.
