Good 200 to 300 pounds $13 to $19; 300 to 400 pounds $13.50 to $20; 400 to 500 pounds $13.50 to $21; and 500 to 600 pound heifers $15 to $22.75. Florida was up to $25 on 200 to 300 pounds, $23 on 300 to 400 pounds and to $24 on 400 to 600 pounds.
HOGS—Barrow and gilt prices at Georgia - Florida - Alabama packing plants continued to advance during the week ending September 5. Prices closed 25 cents higher than the previous week. On Sriday, September 5, U.S. No. 1 and 2, 195 to 235 pound barrows and gilts, brought $58.75 to $59 and U.S. No. 2’s and 3’s, 195 to 240 pounds, $58 to $58.75. Two hundred head of U.S. 1 and 2 sold at $59.25 and 90 head $60.□
