A “HISTORIC bus tour” for members of the RappahannockRapidan Regional Planning Commission will take place some time this fall, the planning commissioners decided Thursday night, August 28. The Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission has listed 566 sites within the five-county area on its register, planning district executive director Art Warren told the Commissioners. It will be impossible to visit each of these sites, Warren said, but by working with the chairman of the Bicentennial campaign in each locality, the planning district staff hopes to select a number of sites which could be toured in one day.
