THE Shenrapawa District of the Boy Scouts of America held its 1975 Annual Meeting on September 4 at the American Legion, Luray. Presiding at the meeting, which was attended by 140 Scouts and Leaders, was Ivan Coffelt of Edinburg, assistant district commissioner of Shenrapawa District, Shenandoah Area Council. Subjects discussed were 1975 Scout Round-Up of new members, camping plans for the coming year, and the Annual School Night for Scouting Program which will be held September 23.
Highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the 1975 Awards. Nora Maxine Shipe received the Cub Scout Leader of the Year Award for her work in the District and with Pack 53, Front Royal. Clarence “Boozie” Dodson, Scoutmaster of Scout Troop 50, Amissville, received the Scout Leader Award. Ivan Coffelt of Edinburg received the District Award of Merit for his continuing work as
