Four delegates from Rappahannock will attend the annual Virginia State Lion’s Convention to be held May 18 through 21 at the colliseum in Hampton, announced Rappahannock Lion’s Club president Bill Racer. Officers elected for the coming year who will serve as delegates are president Phillip P. Butten, first vice-president Howard W. Holschuh and secretarytreasurer Bob Ingle. In addition, Lion’s member John F. Schultz will also attend. The delegates will be accompanied by their wives. Racer reported that Lion’s Club District 24A, of which Rappahannock is a member, sent two tractor-trailor loads of contributions to flood victims in Southwest Virginia. Cash donations, including $180 from the county, totaled $4,000.
