At Bridge

Mrs. Roy L. Reeve entertained members of the Sperryville Bridge Cltb and additonal guests at her home on Friday night.

Those playing were Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. E.~ A. McNear, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Charles K. Estes, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Mrs. W. H. Lyne, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Dale Metzinger also Mrs. June Campbell and Mrs. Edna Koster of Luray, Mrs. Thomas Massie of Washington, Mrs. Dean Irvin and Mrs. Hugh Chrisman.

High prize club winners were Mrs. Quaintance and Mrs. Cordle. Mrs. Massie won high for guests. Other winners were Mrs. F+fnt, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Metzinger and Mrs. Chrisman.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has premiered Nuances II, a work based on the sounds made by whales. The work, containing “eerie, ethereal, and often dramatic whistles, screams, and bellows,” was composed by Robert Hall Lewis.
