possible. Schools need the support given by parents who are involved, who care about a child’s progress,” said Norton. “A good school system requires a cooperative effort between parents, teachers and administrators. We all need each other,” he said.
“With a full-time Superintendent and an adequate staff, the school system should make progress,” Norton predicted. He noted that the county’s growth rate will determine just how pressing the need becomes for additional classroom space at the high school, adding that inadequate space already interferred with program flexibility there.
“I’ve enjoyed my association in the county,” Norton continued. “People have been kind in many ways.”
He reported that his immediate future plans are most definite. “I’m going to relax and do some fishing for the next couple of months.”
