The Drought and Flood Conservation Program has been approved for Rappahannock County. The allocation for Rappahannock County is $6,195.
The DFCP is a temporary program which provides assistance that will have an immediate and significant impact on alleviating soil and water conservation problems caused by drought. The county committee has authorized four practices for Rappahannock County. They are DC2, Developing Livestock Water, DC4, Establishing Permanent Vegetative Cover, DC5, Reestablishing Permanent Vegetative Cover and DC14, Establishing Interim Cover

C. N. Aldrich of Rock Mills has volunteered his time and machinery to clear underbrush at the site of the future track at RCHS. Once this clearing has been done, the area will be surveyed and bids for clearing and grading the area for the track will be accpeted.
