Floyd Menefee
Of Sperryville
A funeral for 'Floyd William Menefee of Sperryville was held Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1977 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville, the Rev. Archie Clatterbuck officiating. Burial was to be in Sperryville Cemetery.
Mr. Menefee, 76, died Aug. 22 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late William and Bertie Menefee, and a member of Beech Spring Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josie Pullen Menefee; five sons, Geveland Menefee and Richard Lee Menefee, both of Sperryville, Roger Menefee and James W. Menefee, both of Washington, Va., and Earl Menefee of Warrenton; four daughters, Mrs. Oakey V. Lambert and Mrs. Ann Layton, both of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Margaret Fincham and Mrs. Bertie Pullen, both of Flint Hill; 23 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Inez Pullen of Flint Hill and Mrs. Mae Corbin of Annandale.
