School System
Editor: copy of letter I have sent to Or. Bloomer, Rappahannock County School Superintendent.
Dear Dr. Bloomer:
Tonight at the meeting of the Rappahannock School Board, I believe you did untold damage to the school system, the teachers and the children.
If a competent teacher can be tossed round because of ill feelings of an incompetent administrator and not have you overcome, rescind or reverse that decision, you are in fact encouraging incompetence.
We have more than enough of that in our State system now. I was of course naive enough to believe in principles and right, long forgotten items in our public
I talked extensively with three members of the School Board and all agreed that Mrs. Baines belongs in the Seventh Grade Science Program, a program she worked extremely hard to develop and a position that I have heard no complaints of—Children look forward to Mrs. Baines Seventh Grade. The High School is pleased with the product she sends to them. She is happy in that life.
