of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kunkle Hutchens, Jr and the grandson of Mrs. Charles Kunkle Hutchens and the late Mr. Hutchens, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Patrick Malone, all of Newport News.

Miss Donna Leigh Lang of Charlottesville was the only attendant of the bride and Mr. Hutchens was best man for his son.

The bride wore a street length white silk dress fashioned with long sleeves gathered into a buttoned band at the wrist and softly gathered neckline accented by a self-scarf. The scarf was fastened by a diamond pin which belonged to her maternal grandmother. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis and. had gardenias arranged in her hair.

The maid of honor wore a street length dress of sea green and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.

A reception was held at the James River Country Gub.

Following a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will reside in Newport News.
