Number
The Veterans Administration now provides a new toll-free telephone line direct to the VA office in Roanoke. The number is 1800-542-5826.
The U. S. Army also provides a toll-free number for the benefit of Army Retirees who have questions or problems pertaining to their pay. The number is 1800-428-2290 and the hours of operation are from 7:45 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. The new line is designed to allow Army Retirees to call at no expense and, hopefully, to provide them with better service from the Army Finance Center, Indianapolis, Ind.
The claims agent wjill be glad to assist a veteran or retiree who may have any problem conveying proper information to thef agency above. To contact the claims agent call 635-4201 (Front Royal) or see him at any of his area offices.
