The Mount Salem Baptist Church near Washington which has undergone extensive restoration in the past year will be rededicated at an afternoon service on Sunday, November 27. Dr. Philip Rodgerson, Director of Missions of the Virginia Baptist Convention will be the speaker for the service which is scheduled for 3 p.m.

“It is urged that all of the people who have made this day possible attend,” said a restoration committee spokesman. “Many people have given of their time, money and materials to restore this historical church. All members, former members and the general public is extended an invitation to the service,” he added. “This will truly be a time to give thanks for the restoration of this beautiful old church.”
