The nation’s 10 worst television programs have been rated from more than one million ballots submitted by viewers of “The Old-Time Gospel Hour,’’ a weekly nationally-syndicated television program.
Balloting began last spring in a crusade against violence and vulgarity in American television program conducted by Dr. Jerry Falwell, speaker on “The Old-Time Gospel Hour” and pastor of the 15,000-member Thomas Road Baptist ChurdrrLynchburg, Va.
Dr. Falwell released results of the balloting during a press conference in the Capitol Room of the National Press Club, Washington, D.C., on November 22.
