An allocation of $23,765.00 has been received by the Rappahannock County ASCS Office for the 1978 Agricultural Conservation Program (ACP). The sign-up period will be from November 28, 1977 through December 16, 1977. The projects offered under the 1978 Agricultural Conservation Program are:
SL1 - Permanent Vegetative Cover Establishment - Applicable to farm or ranch land subject to wind or water erosion which will be established in permanent vegetative cover.
SL2 - Permanent Vegetative Cover Improvement - This practice is applicable to land in permanent vegetative cover needing improvement or protection to prevent or control erosion.
SL5 - Diversions Applicable to farmland subject to excess water runoff, and where the problem can be corrected by a diversion facility.
SL6 - Grazing Land Protection - This practice involves the development of springs and seeps. SL8 - Cropland Protective Cover - Applicable to land
