one tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and one quart of oysters which have been picked over and heated in their own liquor. Pour into baking dish and sprinkle cracker crumbs on top. Bake in hot oven for 30 minutes.

Pumpkin Pie

(from an old Kentucky recipe contributed by Mrs. Sidney Mank)

IV* cups pumpkin

Vi cup sugar

3 tablespoons maple syrup

heaping tsp. cinnamon

V* tsp. ginger (heaping)

heaping V* tsp. nutmeg

V* tsp. salt

2 eggs - slightly beaten

1 cup whole milk

Vj cup light cream

Combine pumpkin, sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt and mix. Add eggs, milk and cream and mix thoroughly. Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake in 425 degree oven 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted in pie comes out clean.

I sometimes bake this in a pie crust to which I have added crushed pecans - about */j cup, ground very fine.
