SL11 - Permanent Vegetative Cover on Critical Areas - This project is applicable to critical areas such as gullies, banks, or other problem areas which are susceptible to erosion.
WP3 - Sod Waterways - this practice pertains to farmland needing permanent sod waterways to safely convey excess surface runoff water in a manner that will prevent erosion.
FR1 - Forest Tree Plantations - This practice involves the establishment or planting of forest trees.
FR2 - Forest Tree Stand Improvement - This project involves the improvement of a stand of forest trees by spot planting, thinning and other acceptible methods.
Applications for any of these projects must be made at the Rappahannock County ASCS Office during the signup period of November 28, 1977 through December 16, 1977.
Applications for projects requiring lime or fertilizer must be accompanied by the results of a current soil sample. A current soil sample is defined as one having been taken within the past two years in which no lime has been applied since the soil test was made. The soil test results or a soil sample should be presented at the time the application is filed." Applications should be filed now for any conservation work that will be completed during 1978.
