The camp is unique in that it brings together children with differing disabilities rather than placing them in separate camps on the basis of their health problems.
Professional personnel from the University of Virginia and its Medical Center supervise the camp staff, most being volunteers. Located near Charlottesville, it serves the entire state of Virginia and nearby states.
