But before you shake your head and say you can’t afford those prices, dig a little deeper and see what’s behind those statistics.
The prices that are quoted in the papers are usually MEDIAN prices. The median price is the middle price...Remember this when you read the real estate news. If the headline says ‘‘Median Price of Homes in West Northville Reaches $52,500” it simply means that half the homes sold went for more than that figure, and half went for less.
