The Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation will hold a hearing at the Culpeper District office on Wednesday, April 11, at 2:30 p.m. to obtain suggestions on future fund allocations for the interstate, arterial, regular primary and urban road systems. The local meeting is part of a statewide series scheduled for March and April.
According to Commissioner Harold King, the public’s suggestions will help in preparation of funding recommendations to be submitted to the State Highway and Transportation Commission later in the spring.
King said the department would solicit comments on specific road construction and improvement projects, with the exception of projects on the secondary road system. Distribution of secondary road funds will be discussed separately in hearings to be held by county
