Jim McGarvey will be the guest speaker at the Community Lenten dinner next Wednesday, March 28. He is the director of the Rappahannock Mental Health Ginic in Washington, Va.
McGarvey has completed a graduate program in Theology and Pastoral Psychology at the Washington Theological Union in Silver Spring, Md. He spent two years at the Center for Religion and Psychiatry, in Washington, D.C. which is run by a priestpsychiatrist. The emphasis of the Center’s program is to promote intergration, understanding and dialogue between the two fields.
