Woodward
Funeral services for William Franklin Woodward of Amissville were conducted March 15 at Geest Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper, by the Rev. Floyd T. Binns. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Woodward, 59, died March 12, 1979, at his residence. A native of Novum, Madison County, he was the son of the late George Washington Woodward and the late Bessie Jenkins.
He is survived by three sons, William Franklin Woodward Jr., of Warrenton, Luther Jackson Woodward of Luray, and George Thomas Woodward of Lynchburg; a daughter, Mary Alice Woodward of Washington, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Edith Cave of Washington, Va. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Coates
Jessie Lee Coates, 80, of Brightwood died Friday, March 9, 1979, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray. He was a native of Rappahannock County and a farmer. Graveside services were conducted March 14 at the Bethesda Church in Culpeper by the Rev. George W. Johnson Jr. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida May Coates of Brightwood, two sons, Danny Lee Coates of Orange and George William Coates of Alexandria, two sisters, Mrs. Ada Jenkins of Etlan and Mrs. Mary Weakley of Etlan, and four grandchildren.
