Vemer
Clarence Alfred Vemer, 62, died October 12, 1979, at ' his home in British Columbia, Canada. He was the son of the late Alfred Miller Vemer and the late Kathryn Taylor Gallagher.
Survivors include his stepmother, Mrs. Alice Coates Vemer and a sister, Miss Phyllis Verner, both of Washington, and two halfsisters, Mrs. Mary Updike of Washington and Mrs. Elizabeth Jenkins of Suffolk.
Dr. Vemer was a graduate of Columbia University in New York where he received his Ed-D degree. He taught at the University of Virginia, Florida State University and the University of British Columbia.
During World War II he served overseas with a bomb disposal squadron.
He was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, a British Council Fellowship and a Canada Council Fellowship. He had served as consultant to the governments of Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Venezuela and the Organization of American States.
Dr. Verner was the author of more' than 300 books and was an artist specializing in making maps.
Bryant Leach
Bryant Leach, 76, ot Amissville, died Oct. 29 at Manassas.
He leaves a sister Mrs. Mollie Waddell, Halfway, a brother Haney Leach, Martinsburg, W. Va., and a godchild Mrs. Bertie A. Fletcher, Amissville.
Graveside services were conducted Nov. 1 at Middleburg Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Wadell Waters.
