To the editor:
I’m afraid the Rappahannock News destroyed the point of my letter by changing my word ‘controlled’ to ‘uncontrolled’. The last paragraph of my letter should have read:
If anything is naive, isn’t it to assume that we can have controlled growth year after year without sooner or later transforming Rappahannock County into something resembling Arlington, Fairfax or Prince Georges?
As Bill Monroe, moderator of the forum said, “We have yet to hear from the candidate for reckless growth.” None of our candidates are for uncontrolled growth. But even controlled growth will lead to megopolis.
