The Blue Ridge Cooperage was founded by Sperryville resident Ritvo, a stonemason who has marketed widely to craft shops and galleries in the Washington, D. C. area, and Cliffton, a house builderdesigner who attended the Pratt School of Industrial Design in New York.
The unique combination of their talents has led to a coopering (barrel-making) operation which utilizes similar techniques of early history.
