To the editor:
I read with a great deal of interest Mr. Northup’s article, “Up the Chimney at the White House.”
I would like to ask Mr. Northup one question. He mentioned the articles on President Carter’s desk but he did not indicate whether he saw the plaque, “The Buck Stops Here” which President Carter had brought from former President Truman’s Library in Independence, Missouri to be placed on his desk during his Administration.
I would like to know if Mr. Northup saw that plaque anywhere in President Carter’s Office.
