Contributions to the "Stop Arson” fund have raised the reward offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Halloween night barn burning in Sperryville to $9,200.
Anyone with information on the identity of the arsonists should contact the Rappahannock sheriff’s department. According to commonwealth attorney Douglas Baumgardner, the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
Those interested in contributing to the reward should send an envelope with the amount they’re willing to donate written on the bottom left corner and their name and address sealed inside to “Stop Arson”, P. O. Box 38A, Washington. Va. 22747. Envelopes will remain unopened under lock and key until a conviction is secured.
