With two supervisors _ ittfadog, and questions raised regarding procedural legalities, the Rappahannock supervisors at Monday’s December board meeting tabled a rezoning application from James Mills.
Mills is seeking rezoning of approximately one acre from agricultural to commercial for the stated purpose of operating a garage and inspection station. The property located on Route 729 near the Culpeper line at E&tes is adjacent to Mills Store, a country grocery and gas station, and is bordered by agricultural and residential land.
At the opening of Monday’s public hearing on the rezoning application, commonwealth's attorney Douglas Baumgardner suggested that a vote be deferred until December 15. He explained that supervisor chairman E. P. Luke couldn’t attend the monthly meeting because of illness. In addition, Baumgardner said, he
