Pearl Harbor takes up a large part of Jesse Pond’s life. The importance of the Survivors’ Association is evidenced by the space it’s allotted in the basement of the Pond’s Sperryville home.
Pond is an engineer and inventor who designed a special computer piece and a clamp that holds monitoring equipment in waste water treatment plants.
He makes the clamp as well as other items of metal in his downstairs machine shop. The family business, however, takes up about a fourth of the area given over to Pearl Harbor memorabilia, a complete library on that day of infamy and file after file of association records, folders and papers.
