Charles Joseph Blake of Wilmington, N. C., died on Wednesday, November 26, 1980. in Wilmington.
A graveside service was conducted Monday at Culpeper Masonic Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Marston.
A native of Culpeper, he was the son of the late Henry Davis Blake and the late Fannie Poindexter Waite. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington and the Sons of the American Revolution. He was a retired general insurance agent and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Louise Leavell Blake; a son. Charles J. Blake Jr. of Naperville. 111.; a brother, Henry D. Blake of Boston; three sisters. Mrs. Lee Fentress and Mrs. Henry Maclin, both of Greensboro, N. C.. and Mrs. Frank Pollard of Burlington. N. C., and a grandson. * -
